Born in Dalhousie, NB on September 26, 1955, daughter of the late Marie (Carrier) and of the late Napoleon Hickey of Nash Creek.
She is survived by her brothers and sisters, Ernest Hickey (Olga) of Saskatchewan, Russell Hickey (Gwen) of Blackstalk Ontario, Andy Hickey (Barbara), Sadie Thomas (Frank) and Florence Larson of NB. Her sons Jason (Mary Jane) & Justin Hickey of Ontario (She was always so proud of them and spoke of them daily), her wonderful granddaughter Kaitlyn Guitard Hickey and great-grandchildren Harley Sage Guitard and Oliver Luka Guitard, the father of her children Charles Larson and her niece Susie (Susan Boudreau) that shared a lifelong friendship together. Along with many nieces, nephews, brother- in-law and sister- in- law. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her siblings: Stephen, Percy, Robert, George, Emmeline, Henry, Rosella, Napoleon (Paul) Clarence and Larence.
Evelyn had a heart of gold and loved her family immensely, everyone who came home on vacation tried their best to make it a point to pay her a visit. She has left us with many wonderful memories and was a Patriarch of the family who was always there to lend a helping hand, a thoughtful ear and had the best hugs. “The pain of missing you is a beautiful reminder of the joy of loving you”. A funeral service will be held at St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Campbellton on Wednesday October 19 at 11:00 am.
There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
