It is with great sadness that the family of Christy Jellett announces her passing on May 8 at the University of Alberta Hospital after a very courageous battle with kidney disease.
Christy grew up in Campbellton, New Brunswick, before moving to Alberta to pursue a career in teaching. Before Retiring to Edmonton, she was a well-respected and loved educator, vice-principal and mentor to children in several northern Alberta communities.
She is survived by her sister Cathy Doull (late Alvin), her nephew Eric Doull (Alyson Barkhouse) and niece Emily Good (Kyle) and four precious grandnieces Liliana, Everleigh, Addison and Rhylee, whom she adored. She is also survived by her cousins and many good friends, both in New Brunswick and Alberta.
She was predeceased by her parents, Verna Bulmer and Ralph Munroe, her son Roderick Munroe Jellett and brother-in-law Alvin Doull.
A celebration of Christy’s life will be held at Maher’s Funeral Chapel in Campbellton on June 16 at 2:00 pm, with visitation at 1:00 and interment in the Flatlands Cemetery, where she will rest in peace with her parents and son.
