Scott Lyman Snavely, aged 50, of Lewisberry, Pennsylvania, was called to his eternal rest on June 2, 2024. Born on March 18, 1974, in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, he was a son of the late Ronald Snavely and Jeanne Hoy Snavely.
A skilled jeweler and gemologist, Scott dedicated his career as one of the owners of TJB Jewelers in Newport, Pennsylvania, where his craftsmanship and expertise were greatly admired. He was a '92 graduate of Cumberland Valley High School and the former Bowman's Technical Institute in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. He subsequently honed his craft with a degree as a Certified Gemologist from The Gemological Institute of America in Santa Monica, California.
Scott leaves behind his beloved wife, Elizabeth Snavely (Gobat), and his loving sister, Catherine Snavely (Jon), his loyal companions Moses, Cairo, Harlequin & Finn, as well as many family and friends.
Scott was very fond of all things in nature. Throughout his life he enjoyed mineral collecting, mushroom foraging, and Bees. He was also very good at playing Texas Hold'em.
All are welcome to attend the viewing that will be held at Neill Funeral Home, located at 3401 Market St, Camp Hill, Pennsylvania, on Friday, June 7, 2024, from 6:00 - 8:00 PM
A private service with Interment for family and close friends will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Moore's Mountain Church, located at 1062 Siddonsburg Rd, Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania with Pastor Gavin Whitcomb Sr officiating.
The family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers, gestures of sympathy take the form of contributions to Adriana's Saints & Angels Rescue, Inc., located at 6009 SE 78th Street, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, 73160.
Scott's memory will be cherished in the hearts of all who knew him as a loving husband, brother, and friend. His legacy will continue to shine brightly, much like the precious stones he so skillfully set into jewelry to be treasured forever.
