Robert Joseph Yeager, age 73, of Camp Hill, PA and longtime resident of Kennedy Township, passed away Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at home, surrounded by family. Born November 10, 1940 in Salem, NJ, he was the son of the late Joseph and Helen Yeager of Pittsburgh, PA.
Robert served in the United States Marine Corps from 1958 to 1964.
After returning from service, he worked for United Airlines for 32 years.
Surviving is his wife of 54 years, Tamara (Barr) Yeager; a daughter, Debra Trautman and husband Dennis of Enola, PA; a son James Yeager and wife Kimberly of Ringoes, NJ; Seven Grandchildren, Lauren Andreychik and husband Mark, Brandon Trautman, Kristen (Trautman) Nelson and husband Cory, Jehnna Trautman, Victoria Trautman, Shannon Yeager and Austin Yeager; and one Great-grandaughter, Ava Grace Andreychik as well as four surviving siblings, Virginia (Yeager) Weisman, JosephYeager Jr., Mark Yeager and Kim (Yeager) Roberts. He enjoyed traveling and was a life-long Pittsburgh Pirates, Steelers and Penguins fan. But, what he loved most of all was spending time with his family and his grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, Camp Hill, PA on February 8, 2014 at 12:00 noon, with visitation from 11:00 to 12:00 at the church. Christian Burial with full Military Honors is planned for May.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Robert's memory to Homeland Hospice, 2300 Vartan Way, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
