Frederick Marc Weintraub, age 72, of Lemoyne, Pennsylvania, passed away on March 28, 2024. Born on October 12, 1951, in Brooklyn, New York, Frederick was an esteemed podiatrist who ran his own practice at Alpine Northern Valley Podiatry and dedicated his career to serving patients in various skilled nursing facilities throughout northern New Jersey. He held a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, a Master's degree in Immunology from New York University, and a Doctorate from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine.
Fred spent his childhood in Brooklyn where he would regularly spend time with friends and extended family. He was a strong member of the Jewish community, and as he got older, Fred regularly led Passover seders in Hebrew and taught his children the beliefs of Judaism. Fred was open-minded and over time, he developed an appreciation for the Christian faith, and accepted both religions.
Fred was a true extrovert and an avid conversationalist who was well-versed in many subjects. He was a vocal member of the Republican party, and some of his interests included politics, American history, finance, as well as math and science, both of which he tutored. Adored by family, friends, and patients, he loved being surrounded by people and sharing his knowledge with others. All of those who knew Fred would describe him as gregarious, brilliantly eccentric and deeply generous. Fred was incomparable in many ways, most notably in his intellect, optimism, cleverness, and sense of humor. He was energized by any opportunity to be innovative, regularly offering up new ideas and providing advice on subjects he was passionate about.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Anne Weintraub, his sister, Ilene Goby, his first wife Janice Hoffman and their five children, Alexandra (Timmothy) Hemmick, Andrew (Kathy) Weintraub , Mikaela Weintraub and her fiancé Brian, Hayley Weintraub, Eryn Weintraub, and two grandchildren, Luke and Ellie. He is also survived by numerous cousins, aunts, nieces and nephews. Frederick was preceded in death by his parents, Milton and Helen (Siegel) Weintraub.
