Eileen was born on February 19, 1924 to the late George and Mary (Bopp) Stuhr in Brooklyn, NY. She was a 1945 graduate of The College of Saint Elizabeth, Convent Station, NJ majoring in music.
She is preceded in death by her husband of nearly 50 years, Thomas F. Fletcher and her beloved daughter, Mary Anne Moffett. Eileen was also preceded in death by her siblings: George, Gerald, Miriam, and Patricia.
Surviving Eileen are her brother Robert; daughters, Susan Fletcher, Theresa (Wayne) Kern, and Ellen (Richard) Alric; her sons T. Michael (Janis) Fletcher, Joseph (JoAnn) Fletcher, and son-in-law David Moffett. In addition to her devotion to her children, Eileen’s love for her 10 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren was ever present.
Eileen was a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd in Camp Hill, PA for more than 60 years. She was active in several parish activities which involved time with school children, organist for both the church and community nursing homes, and participation with the Bereavement Ministry. She volunteered for many years at the Harrisburg Hospital Gift Shop and with the Hospital Auxiliary.
One of Eileen’s passions was playing the piano as often as possible, and she looked forward to the students who came to her for lessons. Eileen and Thomas enjoyed volunteering together especially with the Literacy Council. They also shared an appreciation for travel, music, and theater.
Eileen will be remembered for her very strong faith and devotion to prayer, her love of family, her kindness, and her generous spirit.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 31, at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 3435 East Trindle Road, Camp Hill, PA 17011. A visitation will be held beginning 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. Burial services will take place at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 1313 S. Yok Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055, immediately following Mass.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Saint Francis of Asissi Soup Kitchen; 1459 Zarker St, Harrisburg, PA 17104, or the Alzheimer’s Association at a local chapter.
