Survived and will remain in the hearts of his beloved wife of 52 years, Linda (Corning), sisters Joan (Scott), Julia (Brad), Jean (Pat), brothers Sam, Tom (Lynn), sisters-in-law Diane, Patsy, brother-in-law Karl (Chris), nieces, nephews, godchildren, great-nieces and dear friends. Predeceased by his parents Cyril and Doreen Currie, his brother Michael and his sister-in-law Karen.
Jim was a GIS Facilitator at the Corporation of the City of Cambridge retiring in 2006 after 37 years. He enjoyed 40 years of organizing the SMHL hockey group at Dickson Street arena. For the past few years, Jim truly enjoyed his starter position at the Cambridge Golf Club.
Jim and Linda loved to travel and treasured many memories of their trips over the past 15 years. Jim loved golfing with his friends and family; there were many golf trips over the years.
Linda would like to say a special thank you to the ICU doctors, nurses and staff at Cambridge Memorial Hospital for the wonderful care Jim received.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Coutts Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 96 St Andrews St., Cambridge on Thursday, June 15th from 11 – 12pm. The memorial service will take place in the funeral home chapel on Thursday, June 15 at 12pm with interment to follow at Trinity Anglican Cemetery. A reception will follow back at the funeral home.
