Please accept my sincere condolences. Roger was such a kind and welcoming gentleman.  I watched the Funeral Mass and was impressed by  the grandchildren's participation.  Roger would be so proud.  My prayers are with you.

Roger and Rosemary were regulars at my parent’s house, especially on occasions. I thought my mother made amazing Christmas cookies until Roger began leaving a few of his at the house. The cookie itself was good but the prize was the decadent layers of bright coloured icing that far exceeded the amount my mother used. The last one I had was a glorious hot pink. He also once snacked on the two year old Valentine heart candies my mother used as decoration. They only made him stronger! I saw him last so happy to show off his amazing bike and I will remember that smiling face.

My favourite memory of Uncle Roger is the interesting bike ride  I shared with him and my daughter Molly.   He started the ride with an  in-depth historical tour of Preston.  Then we travelled along the Grand River.   We reached a part of the trail that had been flooded so we had to veer off the path.  We soon found a lovely freshly mowed  area and then a nicely paved trail.  Only when we heard the golf cart behind us did we realize we were on Deer Ridge Golf Course.  We pedalled  so quickly to get out of there. 
Needless to say Aunt Rosemary said Uncle R had a long nap that day!

Since we welcomed Dan into our Family, we always remember Roger to be kindhearted, and a soft-spoken man. With lots of love in his heart, for his wife, his sons, and their families.  You will be missed but never forgotten.  Our deepest sympathy Wishing you peace to bring comfort, courage to face the days ahead.

I came to know Roger when I worked with Rosemary at WCDSB and always found him to be a kind, caring gentleman! He and Rosemary were passengers on my bus tours several times and he always had a joke to share and was so appreciative of the services of Robin Hood Tours.  Sincere sympathy to his sons and their families - whom both Roger and Rosemary adored! They are now together again.   

I have great memories of Roger, Rosemary, and our cousins from school, family events, and visits at their home in Preston. Roger was one of the kindest men I knew. When I was without a car Roger offered me rides on his way to work in Waterloo. I always looked forward to these rides as he had a great sense of humour and lots of knowledge to share. We will keep Rogers, Rosemary, and the whole family in our prayers.

Roger, you and Rosemary raised 3 wonderful sons, and I am grateful  to have David in my life. Over the last 25 years you  have modelled living the Catholic faith, the value of hard work, commitment to the covenant of marriage as you cared for Rosemary in her last year, and resiliency and fortitude as you faced your own health struggles this past year. Our children, Sarah, Sophia, Emma & Christian, have been blessed to have known and loved such a wonderful, caring Papa. We will miss our stops en route home from the cottage for the 'traditional' BBQ of corn chips, Fresca and hamburgers:) ✝ Rest in peace dear Roger for you are with your beloved Rosemary ✝
