It is with great sadness that the family of Reg Collins (Buster) announces his passing on August 31st at St. Andrew’s Terrace in his 82nd year. Born on November 11, 1928 in Chignecto, N.S. to H.B (Bert) and Violet Collins.
Survived by wife Jean (Landry) of 58 years, daughters Ann Butler, Barb (Butch) Beaver, sons Ronald (Carol) all from Cambridge, and Robert (Nancy) from Amherst, N.S.
Predeceased by mother and father Bert and Violet Collins, sisters Phyllis Hoeg, Doris Collins, and brother Ralph, son-in-law Joseph Butler and brother-in-law Frank (Ping) Obrien.
He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren: Scott & Troy (Anne) Beaver, Michael & Shawn (Barb) White, Ashley, Stephen and Jennifer (Steve) Collins and Brad (Meghan) Collins. One great- grandchild, Austin Beaver.
Buster will be greatly missed by his many nieces and nephews.
Reg worked for many years at Thackeray Roofing & Signs Galore until his retirement at age 65. Hockey was a passion of his and he spent many years as a Hespeler Hockey coach.
At Reg’s request cremation has taken place and a memorial service will take place at a later date.
As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to Sterling Heights Nursing Home where Jean resides.
