Peggy Irene Butcher

Predeceased by her husband, Roy Kenneth Butcher (2002). Lovingly remembered by her children Angela Butcher, Wayne Butcher (Hedy Butcher), and Donna Mclean (Robert Mclean); her grandchildren Trevor Mclean, Joanne Novak, John Butcher (Jennifer McInnis), Allison Ashford, Andrea Butcher (Andrew Downs), Graeme Ashford (Andrea Hedges), and Kevin Mclean (Jennifer Mclean); and her great-grandchildren Evan, Owen, Preston, Katie, Olivia, Griffin, Lily, Ella, Brookes, and Eloise.

Peggy came to Canada as a war bride in 1944 with eldest daughter Angela, just six months old, landing at Pier Twenty-One in Halifax, Nova Scotia. She was a devoted member of St. John’s Anglican Church in Cambridge. She loved taking her family on camping trips to Ontario’s provincial parks. Peggy spent fifty years in Cambridge, Ontario, in her little wartime house on Oak Street.

As per Peggy’s wishes, a private family memorial will be taking place. Peggy will be interred at Park Lawn Cemetery with her husband, Kenneth, and other family members.
