Oh,I have many fond memories of  Monica with whom I shared a great job at WW !!!
.Over several years we signed them in ,weighed them,encouraged them. Monica was so even tempered and ladylike and fun.
Years after that, I visited her in her homes and one day had a ride if Bill's vintage car.
I lost track for a    bit but I thought about her  many times especially when I visited D Conly.
Another good friend .I am glad our paths crossed.

I came to know Monica during the time that my late Mom, Tina, lived at Riverbend Place. I recall Barbara's excitement that her sister was coming to join her at Riverbend. And indeed, what a delight it was to meet her and have Monica there. First of all, the joy she added to Barbara's life, the two of them having many hours shared together in each others' rooms. And also, for the other residents, for whom her joyous laghter or amused giggles added to Riverbend's already warm atmosphere. And, I too got to know her during frequent visits with my Mom. Monica honoured my wolf puppy hand puppet, Wolfgang (Mozart), with delightfully animated conversations. "Ohhh, and Mozart, have you been good today? And have you had your lunch yet...?"
Dear Barbara, I ache with your loss, the sister with whom you were privileged to enjoy many years right across the hall! And, Monica's family, I feel your loss with you, and pray that you all may feel God's comfort, and that the undoubtedly numerous happy memories will flood the days ahead.

In different times we would be together as a family , a family that i have always cherished and will continue to do so. Monica was, and now in memory is, an integral part of family life for me.  She was supportive, caring, loving,  and always  interested in  the activities of others in her midst. Her family was paramount ,  but friends, and in  particular a  passion for the dance ,  were a large part of who she was .  I can still feel her holding me up as a child as i tried to do barre classes at her ballet studio.  She seemed larger than life in that cavernous hall.  And she continued to hold me up in other ways as life unfolded for more than 70 years together as my aunt,  and me as  her niece.  She never lost her interest in  many aspects of life but none more than her interest in  the lives of her children and grand-children and  all of those  whose lives she  treasured .  She is deeply missed but always will be thought of with a smile,  and respect and love,  by me and those in her life who cherished her then and remain to cherish her now. Life brings many challenges to us all but Monica met her's with dignity and strength and was,  and always will be,  a source of inspiration to guide us on.  Dorothy.


Aunt Monica I'll always remember our visits to Doon and to Riverbend to see you and Mom. Thankfully you had each other. Everytime we  would push the door backto your room and let Gizmo run in  you'd say "Well look who's here". We always knew where to find Mom. We loved our visits with you and I think Gizmo will miss the cookies he always knew he'd get from you. The next one I give him is from you. Rest well Monica and you will be with Uncle Bill now. Say hi to him and tell him, he forgot to give me my nose back. Say hi to Dad too please. Love you dearly Aunt Monica.

I am so sorry for the loss of your mom, I have fond memories of our younger years with the bridge club friends and you two growing up on bond street .

So sorry for your loss. I worked at Riverbend for ten years & Monica was very special to me. She loved music & was always singing! Her sister always plugged her ears when she sang too loud! She was great at balloon badminton & trivia & her smile lit up the room! She especially liked when her niece brought gizmo the dog to visit! She would proudly hold his leash & encourage everyone to say hi to him. I’ll cherish my memories with her ♥️

Adrienne I am sorry for your loss but not sorry that your mom had a long happy life.  You have been blessed to have her in your life for so long.  100 years!  Amazing!  It is still hard to say goodbye.
I wish you and your family peace knowing that your mom has gone to a better place.
