Peacefully, Mark has gone to be with the Lord February 2nd, 2023 in his 65th year, after dealing with mesothelioma asbestos as he could. He was born in St. Catharines and passed away in Kitchener: having lived in the K-W and Guelph areas for the past 34 years.
Loving husband of Barbara for 17 years, father of Daniel and Joseph, and stepfather to David Grosch (Asha) and Laura Grosch, grandfather of William Bowden. He is survived by beloved aunt Doris Dingsdale (nee Bowden) of Edinburgh, Scotland. Brother of Colin Bowden (Linda). Parents-in-law are George and Gwen Barrie and Jane Ayres. Brother-in-law Sandy Barrie and sister-in-law Christine Barrie. Mark is predeceased by his parents James Bowden (1975) and Joyce Bowden (nee Servos) (2000), sister Wendy Fisher (nee Bowden) (Peter) (2019), niece Victoria Marcotte (2012), and nephew Alex Marcotte (2013). He will also be dearly missed by many cousins, nephews, and nieces.
He graduated from Sir Winston Churchill Secondary School. For the last 29 years, Mark worked as a configuration management analyst in aerospace engineering for COM DEV (Honeywell). He enjoyed canoe tripping, fishing, travelling, church involvement, deck and fence building, and home renovation.
Barbara would like to thank Dr. Tan and the palliative care team for the passionate care he received this past year.
There will be a memorial service at Central Presbyterian Church in Cambridge, Ontario on Friday, February 17th, 2023 at 2:00 p.m.
