Survived by her loving daughters Virginia MacDonald and Constance (Connie) Jessome. Cherished Grandmother of Vicki Christian (Marcus), Michelle Urban (Ed), Jay Jessome (Gail), Kim Jessome (Steve), Dave Jessome (Bonnie), Joanné MacDonald (Craig), Michael MacDonald (Sue), Jeff MacDonald (Lorri), Joy Brennan (Jeff), Shelly MacDonald, Bradley MacDonald (Christine), Heather Reid (Gord) and Steven MacDonald. Proud Great-Grandmother of 27 and Great-Great-Grandmother of 17. Lillian will be sadly missed by her brother Harry Blinkhorn (Betty), daughter-in-laws Sharon, Yvonne, Regina, and Susan, many nieces and nephews, as well as good friends and neighbours.
She now joins her husband Stanley MacDonald, parents Arthur and Alice Blinkhorn, sons Stanley (Buddy), Peter (Brant), Arthur (Art), and Wayne (Archie) MacDonald, her granddaughter Janice MacDonald, great-grandson Gary Jessome, her sisters May Higgins and Martha Budden, her brothers Arthur Blinkhorn and Melroy Budden, son-in-laws James (Buck) Jessome, Melvin (Mel) LeMoine, Thompson (Tucker) MacDonald, and William (Bill) Villarino. Lillian was born in Florence, Cape Breton and has resided in Cambridge for more than 55 years.
Before retirement she worked at Savage Shoes, Genesco and Crydon. She was an amazing Mom, who loved to take care of her family with her sewing, knitting, cooking and baking. A superb Grandmother and Great-Grandmother, Nanny’s Christmas cookies will never be forgotten. Her legacy will be her Great-Great-Grandchildren.
Relatives and Friends are invited to call at the BARTHEL FUNERAL HOME, 566 Queenston Road, Cambridge (519) 653-3251 on Friday, February 28th from 2 – 4 p.m. and 7 – 9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, March 1st at 11 a.m. Private burial. If desired, donations in her memory to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by her family.
