Leonard Andrew Smith

Passed away peacefully in Cambridge, Ontario on Sunday, December 3rd, 2017 at the age of 79. Len is survived by his son Mark (Menna), grandchildren Wesley and Tianna and ex-wife Beryl Smith. He is lovingly remembered by his brother Larry Smith (Kathy), nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Ronald Smith, and daughter Tara Smith. Len was born on June 10, 1938 in Toronto, Ontario to John and Jean Smith as the 3rd son of five boys. He led a successful life starting at an early age. His favourite past-time activity was weight lifting and wrestling. He joined the working world at an early age and worked his way up through the ranks to Foreman at Atlantic Packaging. He retired from the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) after a 15-year career. Len lived his entire life in East Toronto. He bought a house in the upper beaches in the 70’s and lived there for 40 years. In October 2016, he sold his house and moved to Cambridge to live with his son Mark and family. He will be sadly missed by everyone who knew him. A Celebration of Life Gathering will take place at the T. Little Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 223 Main Street, Cambridge (519-623-1290) on Saturday, December 9th from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Mountview Cemetery.
