Our sincere condolences to you all. We have many memories of the smiling faces one was always greeted with when shopping for groceries which were charged and paid for monthly.

It is never easy to part with someone who is dear to our heart, and we share your profound sense of loss.  We have been praying for Stan's eternal happiness.
 
Here comes to mind a gosho passage, which we hope will give you great strength and sense of comfort:
 
Now, when Nichiren and his followers pray for the spirit of the deceased, reading and reciting the Lotus Sutra and chanting Nam-myoho-renge-kyo, the light of the daimoku shall reach to the hell of incessant suffering and enable them to immediately attain Buddhahood.  (Gosho Zenshu 712) 
 
We'll continue to pray for Stan and your family.

Thinking of your Dad brings wonderful childhood memories of Airdrie, and especially of going to your store during the school lunch break, or with Grandma on the weekends.  His kind gentleness will always be remembered. Thoughts and prayers go out to you all.

To the Yee family, so very sorry to hear about Stan. He was a wonderful neighbor and friend. I will miss his smiling face when I look over my balcony.

My sincere condolences to the Yee family. Whether you were an annoying kid spending 5 cents the awesome candy selection or an adult spending $50 on groceries, Mr. Yee always greeted everyone with a huge smile and warm, friendly greeting. He was a truly remarkable, well respected man.

My son posted a memorial to Stan on Facebook and it was inspiring to see how the lives of so many Airdrie children were touched and positively influenced by Stan . He was a good friend to my parents (John and Grace Loveday) and to me.  I have very  fond memories of Stan and would like to extend sincere sympathy to all his loved ones. His was a life "well lived".

Our deepest sympathies to the Yee family.  The Yee family had a huge impact on Airdrie.  Thank You Stan...it was indeed our pleasure!

Stan and your family were so important to the the Airdrie community. I have many good memories of Stan and going into the old store. 
To this day I don't think I have ever found a colder Cream Soda pop than the ones we got from the old store cooler on many a hot summers day. I can only smile when I think of those days. Our thoughts and prayers to your family.

Your Dad and Mom are a very special and fond memory of my childhood.  I hope that the memories you treasure as a family will bring you peace, and that you are comforted in the knowledge that Stan touched many lives in a very positive and meaningful way.

So sorry to hear of your fathers passing. He raised a great bunch of sons and was a good man.  I remember my daily trips to the store fondly. RIP Stan!

I have so many fond memories of growing up in Airdrie as a child. Stan and his lovely wife are a huge part of my memories. They were both always so happy and Stan would always have a huge smile whenever we came into thier store. You were always greeted by "Hi! How are you". We lived just down the alley from Stan and his family. My condolences to Mrs. Yee and to the boys and all of thier families.

Ed, very sorry to hear about your loss. My condolences to you and your family.

Ben, please accept my deepest condolences to you and your family during this difficult time.

I always looked up to Mr. Yee.  He was a good neighbour, businessman and most of all...father.  I still remember the time when Ed was about 9 years old and he was staying over at my house for the weekend.  Stan came out and picked him up early, not saying a word.  I found out later he was being punished for "playing gas station" and he had put water from the garden hose in the gas tank of the old Woody Station Wagon! My condolences the the entire family and especially Edmond, Herman and Ben.

I will always remember Stan's friendly manner and smile the many years he ran the Airdrie grocery store. My condolences to your family.
