Audrey was born in Edmonton, Alberta, on September 14, 1926. She was the youngest daughter of George and Rosa Blower (nee Huxter). She married Leslie Fryer in 1956 and came to Calgary in 1957 after a short stay in Uranium City, Saskatchewan, where Les was living and working at the time. She enjoyed bowling, camping, traveling, reading and gardening.
Audrey will be fondly missed by her children, David (Patricia) and Gina (Cesar), both of Calgary. She will also be missed by her six grandchildren, Tammy (Justin), Kim, Cassie (Graham), Laurel, Lucas and Linnea; and her six great-grandchildren, Hailey, Maya, Simon, Sophia, Hannah and Bennett. She is also survived by friends and her closest cousin Jennifer (Martin).
Audrey is predeceased by her husband Leslie in 1980, her daughter Dorothy in 1984, her parents, her older sister Irene and brother-in-law Campbell.
After leaving her Highwood home of nearly fifty years, Audrey enjoyed living at the Manor Village Huntington Hills for 12 years and was thankful for the very caring staff and friends she met there. We also appreciated the compassionate care she received over the past two years at the Father Lacombe Care Centre.
Rest in peace Mom, you’ve lived a long and wonderful life.
