Valerie Clay passed away peacefully at Santuari Hospice in Calgary, AB at the age of 49 years. Valerie will be greatly missed by her mother Beatrice Donald (Peter); sister, Kathleen Shippelt (Randy); brother, Troy (Gladys). She is also survived by nieces, Amber (Ryan), Lindsey (Devin); nephews Tyler, Jeffrey; great nieces and great nephew, Dylan, Kameryn, Aven and Keaton; as well as many aunts, uncles and dear friends and special caregivers. Valerie was predeceased by her father William (Bill) Clay. A Celebration of Valerie’s Life was held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Friday, January 14, 2011 at 10:00a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made directly to Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada, 100, 2421 – 37 Avenue N.E., Calgary, AB T2E 6Y7.
