Sloan Christian Fraser

Sloan lived with verve and optimism. He loved his work as a Kitchen Partner at the Cactus Club downtown for about 3 and a half years. He most recently fell in love with roofing with his Uncle and his cousins. His love and care for his son Leo was immeasurable. What a gift they were to one another.

Sloan will be missed by Leo Fraser (Son), Tricia Osterman (Mother), Rayna (Sister) Hughson (Luke, Brooks, Baby Boy), Kenneth and Melva Osterman (Grandparents), Edwin and Dawna Hilz (Grandparents). Sloan will be missed by many Uncles, Aunts and Cousins, Rosey Bishop (Jim, Noah, Zach, Ethan), Carey Hilz (Susan), Josh Hilz, Megan Cathcart (Ryan), Madison Seward (Blake, Mason, Sarah ), Debbie Banek (Manfried), Emily Lezama (Jerome), Rachel Kummer (Chris, Ingrid), Kevin and Angela Hilz, Shaun Osterman (Monique, Ethan, Alyssa), Vanessa Comeau (Girlfriend).

Sloan was born January 20th, 1998 in Lethbridge, to Ryan and Tricia Hilz and big sister Rayna. He was always a joyous little boy. He loved to visit grandpa and grandma Hilz’s farm. One of his favourite things to do was play with their dog, Lad. He loved that dog like he was a person. Sloan loved to go fishing with his grandpa Osterman. He loved the outdoors! Recently he spent time with his mom at the beach searching for shells and sea glass. He was at peace there. Any time Sloan was not at work, was spent loving up his son Leo the Lion as he called him. Leo would hear the doorbell ring and go running, yelling “dadda”! They were best buds!

Sloan’s love and impact on people who came across his path is ever reaching. You will be truly missed and loved.
