One who never really grew old;
Her smile was made of sunshine,
And her heart was solid gold”

It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Sin Fong Ng Leung on Tuesday, August 6, 2019 with her family by her side.
Sin Ng was born in Guangdong (Kwangtung), China. She was married and was a devoted mother to three daughters. Sin was predeceased by her husband on 1969. Sin Ng immigrated to Canada to be with one of her daughters and help raise her grandchildren. She will be lovingly remembered by her surviving brother and sister, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Sin Ng was a warm and loving person who built up lifetime friendships along the way. She was deeply loved by her family and had a smile and quick-witted sense of humour that would light up a room. In the years before she passed, she taught us resilience, tradition, values and courage.
Sin Ng has left us with memories of good times, good food, gifts of her talents and interests in traditional Chinese cooking, knitting and crocheting, watching WWE wrestling, playing cards and gardening. She was also a very proud recipient of the longevity award from the Calgary Chinese Elderly Citizens’ Association, and her 100th Birthday award from Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth ll, Calgary Mayor Naheed Nenshi, and Alberta Premier Rachel Notley.
A Funeral Service will be held at Foster’s Garden Chapel at 3220 – 4 Street NW, Calgary, Alberta on Friday, August 16, 2019 at 11:00 am.
