Shelly Marie Clifford

Shelly Marie Clifford beloved wife and best friend of Todd Clifford passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at the Foothills Hospital, in Calgary, Alberta on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at the age of 66.

Shelly was born in Pincher Creek, Alberta where she lived in 11 different homes before settling in Calgary when she was in grade six. Shelly worked for Alberta Health Services in an administrative role for 32 years before retiring in 2022.

Shelly was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Shelly loved them with all her heart – which was a big one. She will be remembered by many for her kindness and generosity.

Shelly loved to cook and welcomed all into her home, often making specially requested favorite meals, sometimes 3 different things at the same dinner. She loved to watch her television shows and visit the local Safeway, where she’d pick up items for the next family dinner or something to share with Todd. Shelly’s love for her family was immeasurable.

She could often be found at the ice rink or the ball field cheering on her children, and later in life, her grandchildren.

Shelly is survived by her husband of 45 years, Todd Clifford, her children Judd (Amanda), Carley (Shawn), and Woody; as well as her five grandchildren Logan, Carter, Madison, Payton, and Aleena, her sisters Debbie and Cayley, and many other family members and friends.

She was predeceased by her parents Mel & Glenna Dunwell and Frank & Lianne Clifford; as well as her sister Wendy.
