Russell Clark Manchester born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on February 12, 1923, died peacefully at the South Campus Hospital in Calgary, Alberta, on October 19, 2017. He is now reunited with his beloved wife, Edna (nee Riddell), who predeceased him 18 years ago. He was predeceased by siblings Doris Oliver, John Manchester and Sadie Crockatt. Russ will be lovingly remembered by his son Clark (Brenda); daughter Dell Rodway (Jim); granddaughter Tara Antosh (Derek); great-grandchildren Bethany and Madeline; as well as many family and friends in both Manitoba, where he farmed until 1975, and in Alberta, where he spent the remainder of his life working as a contractor/handyman.
Russ enjoyed restoring old farm tractors, dancing, socializing and a good glass of Scotch. Russ was a gentle soul with a great sense of humour. He will be missed by all who knew him.
At a later date, Russ’s urn will be placed beside Edna’s in the Warren Cemetery as he wished.
