1951 – 2013
We are extremely saddened by the passing of Rob Hill, formerly of Belwood, ON, on Thursday, June 13, 2013 at the Foothills Hospital in Calgary, AB. For the past two years, Rob has lived and battled cancer courageously.
Rob was the loving husband for 37 years to Liz; father to Jeff (Shari) and Lindsay; son to Margaret and Austin Hill; son-in-law to Katharine and Stuart Johnson; brother to Susan (Lech) and Cyndy; brother-in-law to Edward (Mas) and uncle to John (Paty) and Mark (Giselle). He was predeceased by his son, Steve. As a family, we extend our gratitude to all of his friends, employer (Bayer Crop Science) and co-workers for their continuous support throughout Rob’s illness. We are grateful to Dr. Anderson and the Juravinski Cancer Centre for their expert care and compassion.
A Celebration of Rob’s Life will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2013 from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. at the Alma Community Centre, 51 Simpson Street E., Alma, ON. Tributes will begin at 2:00 p.m. Expressions of sympathy may be forwarded to the family via the website www.fostersgardenchapel.ca.
