Peter Tarasoff

Peter was born in Brilliant, British Columbia in 1931. When he started at school he rode horseback to the Arrowwood School. He attended Herronton and Mossleigh for primary school, then Mt. Royal College, in Calgary for secondary school. Peter began his career at SAIT in Radio Electronics, then working with AGT and Telus in the Communications Industry for 35 years. He began as a lineman and became manager of purchasing and microwave towers, working in Calgary and Edmonton until he retired in 1990.

Peter is loved and will be greatly missed by his brothers, Dr. Jack (Janet) and Sam (Ruth); sisters, Kay and Elaine (Warner); nieces and nephews, David, John (Nadia), Matthew, Lindsay (Pat), Ian (Serena), Scott (Annabelle), Lisa (D’Arcy), Garth (Amanda), Morgan and Kurt (Patti); great-nieces and nephews, Megan, Jonathan, Sabrina, Mason, Jessica, Adam, Sean, Ryan, Kristin (Trevor), Jordan (Zyrine), Rachel, Seth, Jake, Ben, Lily and Maeve; great-great-nieces and nephew, Briella, Siena and Dredan. He was predeceased by his parents, Peter (1972) and Dora (1988).

A Funeral Service will be held at Foster’s Garden Chapel, 3220 – 4th Street NW, Calgary, Alberta (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery), on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
