We are saddened to announce that Jim passed away on the evening of Tuesday, December 27, 2011. Jim was born on February 15, 1921 in Norwich, England and was an only child. He was predeceased by his parents, James Albert and May Elisabeth Barber. Jim leaves behind his beloved wife Marjory Barber and his wonderful group of friends and surrogate family known as the “Squirrelly Snowshoers”. A Memorial Service will be held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at 10:00a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made directly to the Veteran’s Food Bank, Building J - Pockar Park, 4539 – 6 Street N.E., Calgary, AB T2E 3Z6.
