Born on March 12th, 1950 in Olds, Alberta, he spent much of his childhood living overseas in Longuyon, France, where he excelled as a star athlete in both hockey and baseball. At the age of 14, his family settled in Trenton, Ontario, where he completed high school before moving to London to attend the University of Western Ontario. Through a diligent work ethic and the importance of education instilled by his parents, he obtained degrees in Economics and Psychology, followed by successful careers as the Director of Admissions at UWO and a Pit Manager at Caesars Windsor.
Paul will be lovingly remembered always by his children, Matthew (Caroline) Allen and Tracy (Jon) Holden; sisters, Pamela (Wayne) Wasko and Heather (Alex) Munroe; as well as his loving nieces, nephews, and his “little buddies” Marley and Ruby. He was predeceased by his parents, Irene Evelyn Jean (Hedge) and Lloyd William Allen, whom he held close to his heart.
A Celebration of Paul’s Life will be held for family at Foster’s Garden Chapel, 3220 – 4th Street NW, Calgary, on Wednesday, April 18th, 2018 at 2:00 pm.
