We just lost a wonderful woman. It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Ollie Morrison who passed away peacefully at Chinook Hospice in Calgary, Alberta on Thursday, April 18, 2024 at the age of 99 years.
Ollie was born in Bredenbury, Saskatchewan in 1925 to Fred and Annie Vickers. On November 28, 1945 she married the love of her life George Morrison in Bredenbury, Saskatchewan. In 1950 they moved to Calgary where they raised their three daughters.
Ollie leaves behind daughters Gayle Manz, Bev (Don) Ramsey, Debbie Morrison, grandchildren Kristie, Tracy, Pamela and great grandchildren Ashlin, MacEwan, Hayden, Hayley, Brooklyn and Hudson. She is survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Ollie was predeceased by husband George, her granddaughter Lisa, grandson Troy, great granddaughter Ella.
She was a very kind sweet woman who never complained and always looked out for others.
A Private Service to celebrate Ollie’s life will be held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary, Alberta (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Thursday, May 2, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. For those who are unable to attend, the service will be live streamed, please click in the link in service area below the obituary.
