Joy was born in Newtownards, Northern Ireland on November 8th, 1945 to Augustus and Margaret Edgar. She was the youngest of five children, May, Lily, Greta & Gus. Joy married Roy on April 20th, 1968 moving to Roy’s homeland of Calgary, AB, Canada on April 26th, 1968. They had four children together.
Left to mourn are her children: Roger, Robert (Jennifer), Shaun & Heather (Jamie). Also her dear grandchildren who she thought the world of; Erin and Kaley Janett, Zachary, Zoey and Zander Foster. Family friend Aileen Jackson (Alyssa, Paige & Parker), numerous nephews, nieces in Northern Ireland & Australia. Joy was predeceased by her husband Roy of 48 years, her parents and siblings.
A Memorial Service will be held at Foster’s Garden Chapel, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary, Alberta (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Friday, May 27, 2022 at 2:00 PM.
