Michael Kushner passed away on Monday, November 22, 2021, at the age of 86 years. Born in November of 1935 to Luella and Semion Kushner, he spent his formative years on the family farm near Biggar, Saskatchewan.
Michael moved to Calgary in the 1960’s and began his career in transportation planning for the City of Calgary, retiring in 1994. In retirement Michael remained interested in world events, sports, and all things electronic. Michael married his first wife, Ida in 1960 and together they had two sons, Greg, and Jeff.
Michael’s sons and grandchildren were a source of pride and love in his life. In 1987, Michael married Carolyn. He will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by his wife, Carolyn, his sons, Greg and Jeff and his grandchildren Tamsyn and Clyde. Michael is also survived by his brother William (Bill) and numerous nieces and nephews and their families.
A Family Funeral Service will be held at Queen’s Park Cemetery, Calgary, Alberta on Friday, November 26, 2021 at 10:00AM.
