Audrey passed away in Calgary, Alberta on Saturday, January 2, 2021. She was one of ten children born to John and Annie Martin on November 1, 1928 in Scott, Saskatchewan. Audrey accepted Christ at a young age and her faith was central to her life till the end. She attended High School at Prairie Bible College in Three Hills, Alberta.
Audrey married her first husband Jack Adams on November 4, 1951 and they had four sons. They started life on a farm in Rosemary Alberta. In 1961they moved to Vauxhall, Alberta, then in 1965 they moved to Calgary, Alberta and in 1968 they moved to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. She spent a few years working for The Council of Crippled Children as an office worker.
In 1977 she married James Cowan and moved to Coatbridge, Scotland. She travelled extensively throughout Europe while over there but was always ready to come home.
After James’s death in 1993 she returned to Calgary. When she returned to Calgary, she attended Bethany Chapel. She volunteered many hours in various capacities at Bethany and made friends wherever she went. Her home was always filled with friends and relatives as she loved entertaining to the end of her life.
She married Ralph Johnson in 2004 and they spent 5 wonderful years together before Ralph’s death in 2009.
She was survived by her four sons, Rob (Dorothy) and their son Ryan, Jak (Gina) and their children Jason (Amber) great grandchildren Jak and Nora, Kurtis (Camilla), Alex (Sosina) and Scott, step daughters Joan Cowan and Julie (Callum) McLeod and their children Amanda and Kyle living in Scotland, Gordon (Janice) Johnson and their daughters Lauren and Lisa, Linda (Kevin) McLaughlin, Susan Ferguson and her son Murray and many nieces, nephews and friends.
