Lai Hing Chow, 96, also known as Anna, of Calgary, Alberta, formerly from Hong Kong, died peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, February 2, 2022, at Wing Kei Crescent Heights. Anna was born on July 15, 1925, in Shenzhen, China.
She is survived by her four children; Agnes (David) Leeson and grandchildren Ryan, Sean (Brian), Liam, Cailyn (Kelsey), of Calgary; Maria (Trevor) Emery, and grandson Ben, of UK; Laurence (Teik Fee) Lim and granddaughters, Melissa, Alison, of UK; Clarence (Linda) Lim, and grandchildren, Spencer, Priscilla, Xavier, of Hong Kong. She is predeceased by her husband, Lim Thiam Tet.
Anna was an avid swimmer, loved Chinese opera, mahjong, and travel. She was an active member of The Calgary Chinese Elderly Citizens’ Association.
The family wishes to thank everyone at Wing Kei Crescent Heights who extended their care and support for Anna during her final days.
A Visitation will be held at Foster’s Garden Chapel, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary, Alberta (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM, with a prayer service at 8:00 PM
A Funeral Service will be held at Foster’s Garden Chapel, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary, Alberta on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at 10:00 AM with interment to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
