Ken Nelson passed away peacefully on December 17, 2010 at Hillcrest Extendicare at the age of 87. Ken will be lovingly remembered by his four children, Glenys (Rod) Schick, Orlie (John) Inverarity, Edna (Lyle) Bradshaw and Dwight (Christine) Nelson and his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is survived by his 4 siblings, Myrtle Jones, Leeta Tucker, Doris Leavins and Loretta McConnell.
Ken led a full and long life. He spent many years farming in the Dinsmore, Saskatchewan community and then moved to Calgary in the 1960’s. He then pursued a career in real estate and ended his working life at 75 years of age driving a cab. He won the “White Hatter Award” for customer service at 73 years. He had a great love of sports, especially fishing, baseball and hockey.
Ken’s life will be celebrated in the summer of 2011 with interment taking place at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Saskatoon. Cremation has taken place.
