It is with very heavy hearts we announce that John Harper passed on into God’s hands on November 20, 2023. He is lovingly remembered by Darlene, his loving wife of 44 years, his stepchildren Darren Colton and Kim Barron (Dennis) and his 3 grandchildren, Dan Barron (Ashley), Jesse Barron (Osiris) and Tanner Barron.
John loved fishing, camping, socializing, and he never passed up an opportunity to play with dogs. This included his dog of 23 years, Shadow.
John was the most special, kind, gentle and caring man with the biggest heart. He was very loving, and he was loved deeply in return. John had the most wonderful sense of humour.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
A Celebration of John’s Life will be held at South Calgary Funeral Centre, 12700 Macleod Trail South (at Lake Fraser Gate) Calgary, on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at 1:00 p.m.
