John was born on February 22, 1941 in Limerick, Ireland. After coming to England where he met his wife Jackie, he moved his family to Canada in 1967. He was employed by Cominco Ltd. for 25 years living in Calgary, AB, Castlegar, BC, and Saskatoon, SK. During this time John received his CGA designation and in later years started his own successful accounting business which he enjoyed up until his last months.
John is lovingly remembered by his wife Jackie, daughters Debbie Severson (David) and Samantha Irvine (Dan). Four grandchildren, Joshua & Keiran Severson and Jack & Rachel Irvine. Along with numerous relatives in the UK & Ireland. John is predeceased by his parents Michael and Margaret along with his brothers Michael and Eddie.
A Funeral Service will be held at Foster’s Garden Chapel, 3220 – 4th Street NW, Calgary on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at 2:00 PM
