Joan passed away at the Bowcrest Care Centre in Calgary, Alberta on Monday, August 22, 2022 at the age of 89 years.
She was a loving and caring mother who made quality time for each child while they were growing up. Joan and her husband were avid campers and enjoyed fishing. She was an amazing artist, a good gardener and an avid reader.
Joan is sadly missed by her 3 children; Robert (Sandy), David (Susan) Janet (Dennis) Benson; 4 grandchildren Jamie, Heather; Jeremy (Ang) and their 4 children; Brayden, Tanner, Akaia and Evan; Jason (Ashley) and their 2 children; Amelia and George. She will be remembered by numerous relatives. Joan was predeceased by her husband Stanley Matthews.
