With great sadness we say goodbye to Jesse, a loving partner, son, brother, uncle, nephew and friend. Taken unexpectedly at the young age of 36 years, Jesse will be remembered for his caring heart and generous spirit.
Jesse was the first-born child of Arne Staroszik (Heather) and Suzanne de Champlain. As an adolescent, Jesse found enjoyment through activities such as skateboarding, something he was very talented at. He was sponsored by the Source, Freewheelin, and others for several years. Living in Vancouver for a period of time, Jesse learned the value of hard work, performing at many different jobs.
Jesse later moved back to Calgary, where he nurtured his passion for nature, becoming an accomplished backcountry skier, hiker, and camper. He was very passionate about the outdoors, Jesse loved spending time in the mountains. He especially enjoyed spending time with his friends & showed a lot of love to all of them. Jesse passed doing what he loved, embracing life to the fullest.
Jesse met Adau, his long-time partner and love of his life and her King, whom he was with for ten years. Their anniversary would have been March 28, 2019. They settled down in Thorncliffe, a small community in northwest Calgary, AB where Jesse enjoyed spending time with Adau’s family and his own.
He is survived by his parents Arne and Suzanne; his grandparents Elsie and Glen; many aunts and uncles; his three half-sisters, Chelsea (Kapil), Shannon and Kimberly; as well as his half-brother Josh. He was also survived by his nephews whom he loved very much, Kishan, Nick, Goi, Leek and Awyuel. He was predeceased by his grandfather Paul and his grandmother Annette.
The family would like to thank Parks Canada Search, Rescue and Banff RCMP, and Teal Tainio his beloved friend for being by his side & their efforts and support on Jesse's behalf.
