James Haydn Adamson

January 30, 1923 – July 20, 2011

Beloved husband of Madeline passed in his sleep on Wednesday, July 20, 2011. He is separated from his wife of sixty-two years and will rest in God's grace. Forever loved and missed by his children - Ken, Lynn and Kevin; his grandchildren Salina (Sally), Cayley and Dustin; great grandchildren, Lane and Morgan and brother's Trevor (Mary) and Dixon (Mona) and extended family.

“Do not stand at my grave and weep, I am not there, I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow; I am the diamond glints on the snow. I am the sunlight that ripened grain; I am the gentle autumn's rain. When you awaken in the morning's hush, I am the swift uplifting rush of quiet birds in circled flight. I am the soft star that shines at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry. I am not there: I did not die.”

A Memorial Service honouring James’ legacy of love, strength and support to his family will be held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, memorial donations may be made directly to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Alberta, 200, 119 – 14 Street N.W., Calgary, AB T2N 1Z6.
