Gail Bernacki

October 30, 1928 - January 16, 2013

Mrs. Gail Bernacki of Calgary, AB passed away peacefully at the Foothills Medical Center on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at the age of 84 years. She was born on October 30, 1928 in Swos, Poland and came to Canada in 1949. Gail is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Orville; sons Norm and Ryan; daughter Sharon (Craig) Pluim and two grandchildren Lauren and Lucas Pluim. She is also survived by her sister Leonida Michuk and her brother Ed (Miriam) Sardachuk. Gail possessed a truly gentle and loving spirit which touched the lives of many. We will miss her dearly, but are happy to know that she is finally at peace, resting in the arms of her heavenly Father. A Graveside Service will take place at Queen’s Park Cemetery, 3219 4 Street N.W., Calgary, AB on Monday, January 21, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. Those attending should meet at the main gate. The Memorial Service will follow at Brentview Baptist Church, 3512 Charleswood Drive N.W., Calgary, AB at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made directly to HART International Relief, Suite 200, 317 - 37 Avenue N.E., Calgary, AB T2E 6P6.
