Eva passed away at Foothills Medical Centre in Calgary, Alberta on Sunday, May 8, 2022 at the age of 87 years surrounded by family.
Eva was born and grew up in Aberdeen, Saskatchewan. She married the love of her life, Ben, on June 28, 1953 and they made Calgary their home in 1967.
Family was the most important thing to Mom. Always ready to help, she was the first one to bring a bowl of her magical chicken soup to anyone in need. Mom enjoyed quilting and sewing and took great pride in her flower gardens. Her remarkable computer skills allowed her to take photos of her beautiful flowers and share them with family and countless friends.
Mom was a natural caregiver and took such pleasure in caring for her grandchildren and sharing stories of their great adventures together. Mom felt blessed and was so proud of her three great grandchildren, and cherished the time spent with them.
Mom will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 69 years, Ben; her children, Elaine Crook, Audrey Atkins (Kim), Marvin Wiebe (Barb) and Caprina Wiebe; her grandchildren Anitra (Michael), Lindsay (Shane), Brad (Kristin), Colin; and her great grandchildren Cooper, Paisley and Sloane.
