Eleanor spent her early years in Germany before moving to Canada. Eleanor was predeceased by her husband Edward Ross. Together they had 6 children: Donald, David, Marilyn, Valerie, Katherine, and Carolyn which eventually led to several beloved grandchildren. She was also predeceased by her husband Jack Adams on Feb 12th, 2002.
Eleanor lived her life to the fullest and with abandon. She embraced challenges and did not conform to what might be considered the norm. It was her free spirit and unique approach to life that made her so strong and resilient.
All those left to mourn Eleanor will grieve and remember her incredible spirit in their own way. She will be especially missed by her granddaughter, Shelly Ross, with whom she shared a special bond. Their relationship sustained Eleanor throughout her last years as she required more support and care. They shared a relationship that was based on unconditional, non-judgmental acceptance and love.
"My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style.” "If you don't like something, change it. If you can't change it, change your attitude." "It's one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself: to forgive”.
