Doris Berard

Doris passed away peacefully in Calgary, AB on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at the age of 85 years. She was predeceased by her husband, Armand and 7 siblings, Muriel, Viola, Joan, George, Roy, Donald and Jackie. Doris is survived by her brother Raymond (Ann) Bauder of Princeton, BC; children Sharon, Loretta, Michael and Gerry; grandchildren Jason, David, Chad (Kim), Dantz and Tellus; great-grandchildren Caitlin, Darwin, Randal, Kyle, Christian, Ryley, Brooke, Kierra, Teagan and Katana; great-great-grandchildren Mark and Willow; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Doris was born in Portage La Prairie, MB. She was a foster mom to many children and a waitress and cook. She loved helping with the care of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and taking them on adventures. Doris enjoyed going dancing with Armand, and you could always find them around a table playing cards.

A Funeral Service will be held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery), on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at 10:00 a.m., with visitation one hour prior to service. Interment will follow the service at Mountain View Memorial Gardens.
