It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of David Munro, who died peacefully at home at the age of 89 years on April 13, 2011. Dave was born in Calgary on September 7, 1921. He is survived by his loving wife of sixty-five years Muriel, son Neil (Evonne Selk); grandson Jason and numerous nieces and nephews. Dave was predeceased by his son Lorne (Joan Green); his siblings, Jack and William Munro and Christina Murphy. Dave was an active Masonic Lodge member for sixty years, and the Past Master at Foothills Kelvingrove Lodge No. 174, and also a member of Crescent Chapter Royal Arch Masons No. 24 C.R.A. Dave was a four time Worthy Patron of Friendship Chapter No. 125, Order of the Eastern Star, Calgary, Alberta. Those who loved him enjoyed his quick wit, incredible mind, quiet manner and his compassion for others. A Funeral Service will be held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 4Street N.W.
