David passed away peacefully in his sleep at home at the age of 86. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Jean; his children, Jim (Patricia) Hoy, Peter (Susan) Hoy, and Betty (Dan) Smith; and grandchildren Nicholas Hoy and Jasmin Smith all of Calgary. David enjoyed 29 years of retirement from employment at Foothills Hospital. Prior to that he was a grocery store and restaurant proprietor. A Funeral Service will be held at FOSTER'S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 - 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen's Park Cemetery) on Sunday, November 19, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. with a viewing prior to the service starting at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
