Brenda Lee Canada

It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of Brenda Lee Canada (Gordey) on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 in Calgary Alberta. She fought a courageous battle with cancer and after 14 months passed away peacefully at Agape Hospice surrounded by her family.

Brenda will be remembered as someone who gave selflessly to those around her – especially her family. She was dedicated to her work, but her favorite job was being the manager of the Junior Ladies Cardinal Lacrosse Team. “Go Cardinals Go!” Brenda will be forever missed by her loving husband of 27 years, Brian and her beautiful daughters, Carla (Ashley) and Stacie. She will also be missed by her mother, Helen; sisters, Laura (George) and Louise (Steve); many sisters-in-law and brothers–in-law along with numerous nieces and nephews. Brenda was predeceased by her father, Nick and brother, Gary. Our family would like to extend a special thank you to all the doctors, nurses and home care technicians who helped Brenda during her battle. We also wish to convey a special thank you to the Agape Hospice for caring for Brenda in her last couple of months.

A Celebration of Brenda’s Life will be held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Friday, November 29, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made directly to Salvation Army Agape Hospice, 1302 8 Avenue N.W., Calgary, AB T2N 1B8.
