Allison Hickey

In ever loving memory of Allison Laura Phoebe Hickey, who left this earth on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at the age of 34 years to enter her heavenly abode. Allison leaves behind her mother, Christine Ilnicki Fitzpatrick; her sister, Trinity Fitzpatrick; her step-father, Ron Fitzpatrick; her birth father, Gary Hickey; her grandparents, Georgina & John Locken of Calgary and Glenn & Micki Andrews of Barriere, BC; her beloved uncle, Mike Waters of Victoria, BC; and her step-aunt, Erika Blair of Calgary, AB. Allison was predeceased by her uncles, Ian Waters and Charles Ilnicki, and her grandfather, Joseph Ilnicki.

Allison lived her life with courage and an unyielding strength and determination battling countless health issues from the tender age of 9 years. She received amazing care throughout her life from a variety of health professionals and personal caregivers at Southwood Nursing Home. She attended Universal Rehabilitation Service Agency (URSA) for many years and with the love and support of inspired and dedicated staff, she worked hard to maintain and even relearn many skills she had lost from repeated bouts of illness.

Allison, while we are left with heavy hearts, we are grateful for the lifetime of memories, and irreplaceable gifts you gave us. Thank you for the lessons you taught us in patience, love, gratitude and faith. May your soul find eternal peace in the Lord's House. Until we meet again.

A Funeral Service will be held at Foster’s Garden Chapel, 3220 – 4th Street NW, Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery), on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at a later date at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
