(Nicholas) Adam was an energetic young boy who loved riding his bike, cross country skiing, gymnastics and climbing anything he could. He grew up in a loving home with his parents, his older sister Jennifer and a dog named Johnny. After high school he received his red seal mechanics certification and loved fixing and tinkering with cars. He could be found helping a neighbour or friend with their car or stopping on the side of the road to assist someone in need. But most of all he loved his 3 children, Cayden, Chace and Melina with whom he spent many hours playing video games, swimming, skating and playing Monopoly.
Adam will be sorely missed and forever remembered by his family, especially his 3 children, Cayden (12), Chace (10) and Melina (8); his mother Tania O’Donnell (Frank); his father Ray Laniel, and his sister Jennifer (Dan); as well as, his niece Makayla and nephew Tyson, and the mother of his children Cassandra; his aunts Helen, Marie-Claire; Uncle Marc; his cousins Liz, Taras, and T.J. He also leaves behind his cat Gretel, as well as numerous extended family members and many friends.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to all the members of City of Calgary services who were truly kind and helpful at a time of need. Many thanks also to all those who have extended heartfelt condolences during this exceedingly difficult time.
For those wishing to contribute in his name, you can do so to a fund that is being set up for the 3 young children to help cover expenses for their education. You can e-mail Tania O’Donnell at: [email protected] for more information or do an electronic transfer directly to this e-mail which is set up for the children of Adam. Your donation will be acknowledged and we are happy to keep you informed as to the disbursements of these funds.
