Theodore Laverne Brummel

Theodore L. Brummel, age 70 of Byron Center, went to be with his Lord Wednesday, May 18, 2022. He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Lori Ann Brummel and his parents Donald and Lila Brummel. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Mary Lou; their children Kelly (Chad) Bussa, David Brummel, Leah (Zach) VanEngen; grandchildren Tyler, Katelyn, Dylan, Winifred, and Lincoln; siblings Carol (Bob) Herp, Larry (Esther) Brummel, and Marvin Brummel; in-laws Gary (Jan) Nickels, Carol Dosenberry, Jean (Arnold) Dukes, Ella (Jim) Bluhm, and Amy (Scott) Sweeney; many nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

Ted proudly served his country in the United States Navy in Vietnam. He was an active member of the American Legion Post 292. He was a former owner in the family business, Byron Plumbing. Ted enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, golfing, and spending time with his family at the cottage.

The Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at St. Sebastian Catholic Church, 9408 Wilson Ave. SW, Byron Center, MI with Msgr. William Duncan celebrant. The family will receive relatives and friends from 5-8 p.m. Monday, May 23, 2022 at Cook Funeral Home, 2067 84th St., Byron Center and from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at church on Tuesday.
