On Wednesday, June 7, 2023, Sue Funk, beloved sister and aunt, went to be with her Lord and Savior at the age of 76. She was preceded in death by her parents Emanual “Manny” and Elizabeth “Betty” Miller; and husband, James “Jimmy” Funk. Sue Ann is survived by her sister, Lorie (Ken) Baird; aunts Carmen Young and Maryella Simons; niece, Carrie Taylor; nephew, Carl Baird; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Sue Ann was a longtime resident of Byron Center and worked at Van Solkema Produce her whole life until retirement. Never having a driver's license, she was often seen strolling the streets of Byron Center to her favorite places.
Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, June 13, 2023, with a Rosary at 4 p.m., at Cook Funeral Home, 2067 84th St. SW, Byron Center, MI 49315. A Funeral Mass will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at St. Sebastian Catholic Church, 9408 Wilson Ave. SW, Byron Center, MI 49315, with an hour of visitation prior to Mass.
