Julie Ann Jackson (Harris), age 57, went to be with her Lord Monday, October 10, 2022. Julie was preceded in death by her parents Max and Donna Harris; and brother, Kelly Harris. She will be remembered by her husband, Tim Jackson; children Kellie (Tony) Merritt, Christian (Pearl) Jackson, Alexa Jackson, Alicia Petroelje; grandchildren Eisley, Ivy, Evan, Asher, Brooks, and Willa; brothers John (Kim) Harris and Kevin (Carole) Harris; sisters Connie Harris Waters and Pollie (Pat) Knight; mother-in-law, Phyllis Weiland; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
If you knew Julie, you also knew how much she loved her grandkids. Known to them as "Grammy," she spoiled them, attended all of their events, and never missed a chance to take them to get ice cream. She always took care of those around her, as a wife and mother especially. Julie was a giver of her time, her energy, her love, her food, and her home. She surrounded herself with a strong sisterhood of friends who were family to her. While we will now miss out on future girls trips, casino trips, shopping trips, and weekend getaways with her, these memories will be with us forever.
Visitation with friends and relatives will take place from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, October 14, 2022 at Cook Funeral Home, 2067 84th Street, Byron Center, MI 49315. The Rosary will be said at 3:30 p.m. at the end of the first visitation. Funeral services will commence 11 a.m. Saturday, October 15, 2022 at St. Sebastian Catholic Church, 9408 Wilson Ave. SW, Byron Center, MI 49315, with visitation one hour prior. Msgr. William Duncan will be officiating. In honor of Julie and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to American Heart Association and Amyloidosis Foundation. Interment will be at St. Sebastian Cemetery. The family welcomes memories and messages in their guest book online at www.cookcaresbyron.com.
