Donna Jean Popma

Donna Jean Popma, age 87 of Grand Rapids, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, November 2, 2021. She was preceded in death by her parents Peter and Catherine Bartz; and siblings Marvin, Robert, Edwin, Doloris, and Rosalie. She will be lovingly remembered by her children Debra Lynn Kaufman, Richard Dean (Lori) Popma, Patricia Jean (Gary) Zylstra, Renee (Khaled) Aleisa, Kimberly Ann Havens; grandchildren Heidi Michelle (Dan) Morey, Jesse Ray (Melinda) Kaufman, Jordan Alex (Marne) Popma, Jessica Proos, Joshua (Tiffany) Proos, Nathaniel Brink, Aaron (Marisa) Zylstra, Samantha (Lee) Hasse, Alexandria (Ryan) Mowery, Rachael Zylstra, Amirah (Eric) Vosburgh, Mo (Emily) Aleisa, Mish (Kara) Aleisa, Rishad (Olivia) Aleisa, Cherish (Jeremiah) Wascher, Heather Mills, Amanda Havens; great-grandchildren Tyson, Daelyn, Julian, Willow, Lexi, Lucia, Robin, Tyler, Janessa, Alexis, Jake, Claire, Ella, Carson, Liam, Rhett, Savannah, Mila, Jack, Jonah, Catherine, Madeline, Eli, Marcus, James, Eleanor, Jude, Shaine, Kody, Laylah, Jessiah, Aiyanna; brothers Gerald “Butch” Bartz, Roger (Annmarie) Haase; step-brother, Charles (Barb) Haase; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at St. Mary’s Visitation Catholic Church, 2459 146th Ave., Byron Center. A time to visit with family and friends will be held from 5-7 p.m. Monday, November 8, 2021 at Cook Funeral Home, 2067 84th St., Byron Center.
