Ronald Doyle McGinty

Ronnie was 18 years old when he fell in love with Joyce Nelson also of Burnet, TX. Ronnie and Joyce were married on March 25, 1961 and soon headed to 29 Palms, California where Ronnie was stationed with the United States Marine Corps to begin their life together that would span over 62 years, 5 children, 13 grandchildren, and 19 great grandchildren.

After his time with the Marines, Ronnie and Joyce returned home to Burnet to raise their children.

Ronnie worked hard to provide for his family, he was a dedicated employee at Capitals Aggregates for 43 years before his family finally talked him into retiring in 2014.

He loved the beautiful mountains of Colorado and they would hop in the car and head that direction every opportunity they could.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Letha McGinty, brothers Dean McGinty, Bill McGinty, Gary McGinty, sister Joy Ulrich and his beloved dog “Gidget”.

Survivors include his loving wife of 62 years, Joyce McGinty, son, Jerry McGinty (Jayme) of Brownwood, TX, daughter, Ramona Smith (Lee) of Burnet, Tx, son Gary McGinty (Vera) of Burnet, TX, son Ronnie McGinty (Rachel) of Leander, Tx, son David McGinty (Carrie) of Burnet, TX.

13 Grandchildren Chase Smith and wife Chelci, Cassie Smith Jacobson and husband Mitchell, Callie Smith Khatib and husband Khalid, Brennen McGinty and wife Caragan, Brooklyn McGinty Wall and husband Hunter, Nathan McGinty and wife Amelia, Justin McGinty and Evelyn, Briana McGinty and fiancé Eddie, Abbie McGinty, John McGinty, Darren Abel and wife Erika of Jarrell, Tx., Lauren McGinty Miccolis and husband Seth, Logan McGinty and Fiancé Kyle along with 22 Great Grandchildren, Brothers, Dorman McGinty (Darlene) of Pflugerville, Tx., Brother David McGinty (Sara) of Burnet, Tx., Numerous in laws, nieces and nephews all of whom he loved greatly.

Pallbearers: David McGinty, Gary McGinty, Chase Smith, Hunter Wall, John McGinty, Rayleen Nelson.

Honorary Pallbearers: Jerry McGinty, Ronnie McGinty, Khalid Khatib, Mitchell Jacobson, Darrin Abel, Tina Stewart, Charles Nelson, Brennen McGinty, Nathan McGinty and Justin McGinty.

A visitation clements-wilcox funeral home for Ronald will be held Wednesday, April 26, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service clements-wilcox chapel will occur Thursday, April 27, 2023 at 2:00 PM. A burial at liberty hill cemetery will occur Thursday, April 27, 2023.
